She's a good kitty, then. Sandi's cat Fluffy was so mean about it, sometimes Sandi came to school in a bad mood after Fluffy was hogging the bed all night.

I'm not surprised they made friends with each other, if he's as cranky as I hear he is.

Well, he's not that cranky! I mean, he's not as bad as he used to be. He's a really nice guy, and he's mellowed out a lot!

It's so weird! Especially since Sandi's always so nice to Fluffy. [That cat might be the only living being Sandi treats with dignity, actually.]

Well...I'll take your word for it, but if Daria likes him he's obviously not Mr. Sunshine.

Well...she's not exactly the coolest person in the world, she's cynical and has a morbid sense of humor. And she doesn't know how to smile unless she's being mean. But in her own way she's kinda cool, I guess? ...she's smart, anyway. That's pretty helpful.

Well, maybe she's like Silver and doesn't entirely know how to show her happiness. You never know, right?

Actually, I think she's more afraid to feel things. Like compassion and love... [Tom and Link come to mind.]

Maybe... some people are afraid of those things. [He could name a couple.] But it's up to use to make sure they know that they don't need to be. Not with certain people, at least.

Well, she does have her friend back home. I think she might be able to help with that a little. And...well, the Daria here broke up with her boyfriend but back in my time they just got back together.

Well, maybe things will get better for her here as time passes.
