[The good news is, Quinn finally decided to give the craftswoman side of fashion a shot. Bad news? She's terrible at it. One half-hour of sewing practice somehow ended in only two of her fingers not pricked and bleeding, and the less said about the designs she tried on that spare t-shirt, the better.

So it's off to the store for extra bandaids and bactine. And extra thimbles. And maybe a pair of protective rubber gloves. Feel free to comment on the bandaids already wrapped around her fingers.]

Well, at least that t-shirt was meant to be practice. Maybe I'll let Daria wear this one for yard work or something.

[Utena's headed to the store, too--she has more than a few things to pick up. Jeez, she really shouldn't wait until the last minute to do these things...

Oh, nothing, just pricked my fingers a dozen times each trying to sew designs onto a t-shirt. It's...not a pretty sight. The designs are crooked and the shirt's rumpled and that's the least of its problems!

[Oh... well, Quinn is a fashionable girl. Utena probably should have been able to guess how she got injured. Still...]

I'm sure it doesn't look that bad. Maybe you're just being too hard on yourself!

Trust me, it's a disaster. I'm just glad it was just a practice shirt! If Daria wants to try something new she can have it. After I wash the blood off it.

Still, it must be nice to have her. I don't have any siblings, so I get a little envious when I hear about that kind of stuff. [She smiles.] I'm sure she'll appreciate the shirt too, even if it's not perfect.

I was practicing adding designs to a t-shirt. Because cute clothes can be made even cuter with fancy designs! But I didn't want to ruin anything nice with blood or crooked stitches.

Are you okay? It looks like you tried picking up sharp things.

I only had one thimble, so all my other fingers got stuck with the needle. [pouts] How do professionals even do this?!

Oh, that sucks. I got some lessons from Hikaru and Kaoru from Fashion Club. I can teach you what they taught me, if you'd like.

[She's not a pro, yet, but she's managed to learn how to make a basic pattern from one of her designs. It's a good start.]

...well, maybe after your fingers have a little healing time, because I totally pricked my fingers a few times, too.

Oh, I'd love that. I mean, after my fingers heal, which I hope won't take long!

I don't think it should take long at all. I mean, they're pin-pricks rather than a kitchen accident with a knife or something too hot...so probably just a day or two.

[As long as nothing gets infected or anything, but she has faith in her friend's personal hygiene and she can loan Quinn something anti-bacterial to wash her hands with until she's better.]

If they're not better by then for some reason, you should talk to someone who learned filial magic from that healing spirit...I think her name's Nala?

Yeah, true. And I've got bactine, which stings like hell but at least it'll keep the germs away. [And she takes showers every day, too...sometimes a bath for good measure.]

I think you should be fine as long as you have something to keep the germs away.

[They’re shallow cuts after all, so the biggest problem would be them getting dirty and infected. Quinn should have no problem managing that, though.]
At least the weather’s nice enough to enjoy going walking? You can make this a day for exercising through power-walking to give your hands a break.
