[A short time later, Quinn is still getting used to her new surroundings. Having wings and the overall feel of the place is still so weird! But she has plenty of new outfits, and that makes up for it. Well, sort of. She still has nowhere to stay.
Ami's been nice enough to let Quinn stay with her and her housemates, which has been...well, interesting, at least. It's not what she's used to and she's sure she's rubbed a few people the wrong way, but at least she hasn't been kicked out yet. Which is more than she can say for certain Fashion Club presidents and their houses.
She wonders if she should be picking up the pace on her search for her own place, but she's getting used to Ami and the others. Well, maybe they won't mind another person...besides, she'd rather be living with people than alone! Only people like Daria want to be alone!]
Hey, does anyone mind me doing my nails? Because if I do I'll need to open a window, it smells pretty strong.

She glances up from the couch, where she'd been reading a book (it looks rather thick, and dry).]
It's alright; the weather isn't too cold yet.
[She still sometimes wonders what else might have been different if she'd grown up used to hair and makeup instead of books and exams.]
[Action]
Thanks! [she leaps up from her chair and goes to open the window] It's been far too long since I've had a good manicure.

It must be difficult to do it for yourself. I haven't tried this sort of thing very often, but would you like some help?
[Action]
[Action]
... And when she was fourteen, her attempts at makeup looked like this.]
Amazing! It seems like it be hard to do.
[Action]
[Action]
Would you also be able to do mine?
[Action]
[Action]
Blue is my favorite color. I don't mind trying either.
But do you really have a lot of different shades here? [Not that the stores don't probably have more colors than anyone could imagine, but... well, is that a priority?]

What comes out of Ami's mouth:]
I think you should also be careful to find things like warm clothes, with winter coming. [Quinn likes shopping, right? Perhaps the gentle hint will be taken.]

No, I don't mind, I'm heading to the shrine soon. You must be Quinn-san. Ami-chan told me you'd be staying with us. I'm Rei, I apologize for not greeting you sooner. I've been staying there making things ready for winter and working on my magic.
[Action]
Yeah, I'm Quinn. It's nice to meet you, too. [looks up from her nails] Magic?
[Action]
[Rei holds up a hand and whispers a word of power, calling forth a single spark of liquid-flame. Clearly Ami hadn't explained much to the girl]
I'm learning to cast spells. Are you not from a world with magic?
[Action]
[Action]
[Rei doesn't really know what to say, to be honest with you Quinn.]
You're...American? [Call it an educated guess]

Have you been in Luceti long, Quinn-san?
[Action]
Just a few weeks. You?
[Action]
[They don't have those in Japan]
Seven months, now.
[Action]
Wow, that's a long time! That's more than half a year...are you used to it? I mean, does it feel almost like home by now?
